Youth Group

If you are a young adult between the age of 12 and 18 and are looking for a place to learn more about God and how He can change your life, then I look forward to seeing you this Tuesday night at Hamlin New Testament Church @ 7:00 pm.

If you are a parent of a child that meets the above criteria and you want to see what we’re about or to get a better idea of who your child is spending their Tuesday nights, I encourage you to come and join us. We encourage parents to be a part of our youth group and attend whenever they can. We recognize that, as parents, you are responsible for your child’s spiritual growth and education and that our youth group is only a resource for you to use. We will teach based on our understanding of God’s Word and the oversight by the Pastoral staff of Hamlin New Testament Church. We realize that we may come across topics within our discussions that reach areas of inter-denominational differences. When this happens we will voice our interpretation of scripture but always refer your child to discuss such topics with you further at home.

Our Tuesday night Youth Group Meetings start at 7:00 pm and ends around 8:30 pm.

After the meeting some of the Youth often go to Krony’s Pizzeria which is directly across the street from the Church. This is not an “official” part of the Youth Group and is not always supervised by one of the youth leaders.

30 Hour Famine

Every year, we have done an event called the 30 Hour Famine. It is an event to support World Vision (a Christian organization which sends supplies and money to countries and communities throughout the world that are in need) or Life Solutions (The local food pantry in Hamlin, NY) meant to both raise awareness about poverty and hunger and raise funds for those who really need it. Just like the name suggests, it is an event in which the youth fast from food for 30 hours while they pray, worship, play games, and raise awareness throughout our local community. The youth will be asking for donations in order to send it to World Vision or Life Solutions who will then distribute the money as needed.
